The Prime Rib, or Standing Rib Roast, is the king of the roasts. Our Prime Ribs are abundantly marbled, wonderfully tender, and absolutely delicious. It’s the perfect choice for holiday dinners, special events, and any time you are hosting family or friends. As a rule of thumb, each rib serves two people.

This version of the roast is boned and tied. The rack of ribs has been cut off and tied back on. Once cooked, the strings can be cut and the ribs will fall off. This makes it very easy to slice the roast. Most customers prefer this style of preparation.

The Best

Smoked meat tell internal temp of 120. Rested meat then ate. It was unbelievable how soft it was.

Delicious and easy to prepare

Rarely does the family start eating and no one makes conversation due to them eating the prime rib with authority. We cooked a reverse sear with a garlic and a fantastic crust. 5 people ate all 7 pounds. If prepared properly, the best prime rib you will ever eat!

Perfect Christmas Roast

Not sure it is possible to mess this one up. Standing rib roast was perfect. A great mix of superior meat with the right amount of fat left for cooking. Perfectly trimmed and tied for easy serving. The meat made the Christmas.

Prime of the Prime

We’ve ordered dry-aged prime rib from another large meat house the last few years. Last year we ordered two seven bone roasts from them. They were good, but compared to the 45 day dry-aged five bone prime rib we ordered from Pat LaFrieda this year, they just weren’t as good. Honestly, better than any prime rib I’ce ever had in a steak house. There’s only one prime rib I’ve ever purchased and cooked that competes with this one and it was purchased from a local grocery store chain where I lived at the time.

This may be more expensive than the other meat house we used to order from, but it is worth every cent. I just wish I had more friends and family willing to take that next step in dry aged funk so that I could order the 60 day aged.
